1.Return/Refund Request - Gmarket Global
According to our refund and return policy, as well as the terms and conditions in the service agreement, buyers can apply for the return of purchased items and/or refund services before the expiration of the Gmarket Global guarantee period.
The Gmarket Global guarantee is a service provided to users to assist in resolving conflicts that may arise during the transaction process. Users can communicate privately to resolve disputes or contact relevant local authorities to settle any disputes before, during, or after using the Gmarket Global guarantee.
2.Return Request
Buyers can only apply for a refund and/or return in the following cases:
The buyer did not receive the item.
The item is defective or damaged upon delivery.
The seller delivered an item that does not conform to the agreed specifications (e.g., incorrect size, color, etc.).
The item delivered to the buyer significantly differs from the description provided by the seller.
Through a private agreement with the seller, the seller must send confirmation to Gmarket Global to confirm the agreement.
The buyer's return request must be submitted through the Gmarket Global mobile application and within ten (10) calendar days.
If the buyer has initiated legal proceedings against the seller, and upon providing formal notice to Gmarket Global about the relevant authorities, Gmarket Global may decide whether it is necessary to continue holding the purchase funds until a formal ruling is obtained.
3.Rights of Preferred Sellers
If you are a preferred seller, you will receive a separate written notice from Gmarket Global informing you of the choice to participate in the Gmarket Global Preferred Seller Program. If you decide not to participate at any time, inform Gmarket Global in writing; otherwise, you will be considered to have chosen to continue participating in the Gmarket Global Preferred Seller Program, agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in this refund and return policy.
Gmarket Global reserves the right to suspend or remove any preferred seller from the Gmarket Global Preferred Seller Program at its discretion.
Decisions by Gmarket Global to approve refunds or returns under Section 2 above are binding on the relevant preferred seller. The preferred seller agrees to comply and take all necessary actions to facilitate the buyer's approved refund or return requests by Gmarket Global.
For any approved refund or return requests by Gmarket Global, notification will be sent to the preferred seller via email. The preferred seller is responsible for providing a local address for the return of items, as long as the address is in the country/region where the items are listed for sale on the website. If the preferred seller fails to provide the local address or fails to accept the delivery of the returned items within a reasonable time (as determined by Gmarket Global), Gmarket Global reserves the right to dispose of such items in any way it deems appropriate, and the preferred seller will be deemed to have forfeited ownership rights to the items.
For any refunds or returns received by Gmarket Global but rejected by Gmarket Global, Gmarket Global will organize the delivery of the items to the relevant buyer's address according to Section 2 above.
If Gmarket Global approves any refund or return request, the preferred seller may appeal this decision by contacting Gmarket Global and providing evidence supporting such an appeal. If Gmarket Global supports the preferred seller's appeal, it will pay the full or partial purchase amount to the preferred seller. The preferred seller acknowledges and agrees that Gmarket Global's decision is final, conclusive, and binding. The preferred seller further commits and agrees not to file any lawsuit or make any claims against Gmarket Global or its affiliated companies regarding such decisions.
4.Rights of Ordinary Sellers
For the purposes of this refund and return policy, ordinary sellers refer to sellers who are not mall sellers or preferred sellers.
When Gmarket Global receives an application for return and/or refund from the buyer, Gmarket Global will notify the seller in writing. The seller can respond to the buyer's application following the steps provided in the Gmarket Global written notice. The seller must respond within the specified time frame ("specified period"). If Gmarket Global does not receive a response from the seller within the specified period, Gmarket Global will assume that the seller has not responded to the buyer's application and will continue to assess the buyer's application without further notice to the seller. Gmarket Global will review each seller's response on a case-by-case basis and independently determine whether the buyer's application may be successful under the circumstances described by the seller.
5.Return and Exchange Situation
To ensure a smooth experience when returning items, the buyer should ensure that the item (including any free items, such as accompanying accessories) is returned to the seller in the condition it was received at the time of delivery. It is recommended that the buyer take photos upon receiving the goods.
6.Responsibility for Forwarding and Return Freight Charges
In the event of an unforeseen error by the seller (i.e., damaged, defective, or incorrect products delivered to the buyer), the seller will bear the buyer's forward and return freight charges.
In the case of the buyer changing their mind, the buyer should obtain the seller's consent before submitting a return request and is responsible for the return freight charges.
In the event of a dispute between the buyer and seller over the responsibility for forward and return freight charges, Gmarket Global will determine the responsible party.
In any of the above situations, if the seller bears the buyer's forward and return freight charges, even if the buyer uses a free shipping voucher, the seller must bear the buyer's forward freight charges. for the delivery of the product.
7.Refund
The buyer will only receive a refund once Gmarket Global has received confirmation from the seller that the returned items have been received. If Gmarket Global does not receive a response from the seller within the specified time, Gmarket Global has the right to refund the applicable amount to the buyer without further notice to the seller. 8.Communication between Buyers and Sellers
Gmarket Global encourages users to communicate with each other when problems arise in transactions. As Gmarket Global is a platform for users to conduct transactions, buyers should contact sellers directly to resolve any issues related to purchased items.
